This polychrome initiation mask is called kilume among the Songye of the Kalebwe group, who interpose themselves between the so-called Western Songye and those called Eastern, who designate this type of mask as kifwebe. 
This mask is masculine, displaying a poorly developed crest that extends into a triangular nasal plane.
The protruding eyes are topped with curvilinear eyelids. The lips of the prominent mouth are sculpted in the shape of a four-point star.
This type of kilume mask is described in F. Neyt's work "Kifwebe: A Century of Songye and Luba Masks," Ed. 5 continents, 2019, pp. 61-63.

Ce masque d'initiation polychrome est nommé kilume chez les Songye du groupe Kalebwe qui s'intercalent entre les Songye dits Occidentaux et ceux dits Orientaux qui désignent ce type de masque comme kifwebe. 
Ce masque est masculin, présentant une crête peu développée qui se prolonge par un plan nasal triangulaire.
Les yeux saillants sont surmontés de paupières curvilignes. Les lèvres de la bouche saillante sont sculptées en forme d'étoile à quatre pointes. Ce type de masque kilume est décrit dans l'ouvrage de F. Neyt " Kifwebe Un siècle de masques songye et luba" Ed 5 continents, 2019, pp 61-63.
