A porcelain, Guangxu-period (late Qing) famille-rose powder‑blown enamel peach‑form box and cover from China, 8.5 cm wide and 5 cm tall, in excellent condition with one hairline at the bowl edge and historically used as a durable offering substitute on temple altars.

A famille-rose powder blown enamel peach-form box and cover, Qing dynasty, 19th century.
It was crafted as durable, everlasting stand-ins for real fruit to be placed as offerings on religious or ancestral temple altars when seasonal produce was unavailable.
In Chinese culture, the peach (shou tao) is a powerful symbol representing longevity, health, and immortality.
Measurements:
Height with lid: 5cm
Diameter: 8,5cm
Condition:
One light hairline in the bowl edge ( see blue marked picture )
No other hairlines, chips, No repair
Item very well inspected with different light. Also uv .
