This handwoven Kilim is characterized by a particularly restrained, modern design with a clear graphic impact. The calm base field in a subdued sage to gray-green is traversed by bold red lines that spread horizontally and vertically across the carpet.
The pattern appears deliberately minimalist: wider red bands are complemented by narrower lines, resulting in an abstract, architectural composition. Through the slightly irregular weaving structure and the small deviations in the lines, the handicraft character remains clearly visible and gives the rug a lively aura despite its clear design.
The combination of the gentle green of the base and the warm red provides a striking yet balanced contrast. The light fringes on the short sides form a natural finish and emphasize the textile, handmade feel.
