The gorgeously beautiful figurines are created in the "Cottage Style" by master sculptor and painter JIM SHORE. He drew his inspiration from American Folk Art. Specifically for his Folk Art Collection "Heartwood Creek" Jim Shore was named "Artist of the Year" by the National Association of Limited Edition Dealers in 2004.
The individual pieces are very lovingly crafted, detailed and lifelike. The originals are carved by Jim Shore. These figures also have the look of a carved figure, since the originals were used to shape the molds for the casts. These sculptures are thus cast figures, hand-painted, each one becoming a unique piece.
