Basket - Empire - Gilt brass

A magnificent copper and gilt brass basket, measuring circa 15,2cm in height including the twisted handle and weighing 454g, ajour cut in latticework above a rim of openwork laurel leaves between rope rims, the base plate cast in low relief in Empire style with palmettes, arches and rosettes between concentric rings. Estimated age: First half of the 19th century, circa 1820.

Diameter: Just under 15cm.

Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Minimal wear.
