Tea caddy/ box - Intarsia decorated with various woods varieties - Wood

A fine and fairly unique Georgian tea caddy shaped as a Swedish drinking tankard but hexagonal, measuring 15,5cm in height and weighing 394g, lined with pewter interior and hinged lid, the six sides delicately inlaid with various wood varieties in starburst, diagonal and zig-zag geometrical patterns, burr walnut to the lid. Estimated age: Early 19th century.

Condition: Very good, no significant damages or repairs. Minor imperfections and bumps, etc. commensurate with age and use.
