Old theater binoculars in mother-of-pearl and brass – with original case – late 19th / early 20th century
Elegant pair of old theater binoculars, made of gilded brass and mother-of-pearl inlays, probably dating from the late 19th century or the very early 20th century.
The body is dressed with wide panels of mother-of-pearl with beautiful iridescent reflections, assembled in vertical facets. The metal parts are gilded brass, with a central focus wheel and a mount featuring a sober and refined decor.
The oculars and collars are also adorned with mother-of-pearl, giving the whole its especially elegant presentation, typical of theater and opera accessories from the Belle Époque.
