This decorative panel is an iconic piece of Italian industrial design from the 1950s and 1960s, made by Nino Gobbis for Mobilificio Arreda di Celotto in Montebelluna.
The panel features a refined relief-carved decoration, typical of the period's organic aesthetic. The composition is dominated by stylized phytomorphic motifs. A four-petaled flower at the top and lanceolate leaves intertwine along the surface, treated with gold leaf, which enhances its three-dimensional depth.

In short, it is a panel in solid beech wood, carved and decorated, that reproduces the effect of molten metal, part of the ORO series which was intended to be used for a collection of furniture in which the panels stood out against the minimalism of mahogany furniture.

The object is in perfect condition despite its 70 years.
Gobbis collaborated with Arreda di Celotto, which produced in the 1950s furnishings designed by famous Italian architects and designers such as Piero Celotto, commissioning decorative panels from artists like Nino Gobbis to furnish bourgeois homes, offices, hotels, or cruise ships.

Nino Gobbis, Italian painter and printmaker active in the mid-20th century, a figure deeply linked to the world of high-end interior design and Trevigiano modernism of the 1950s and 1960s.

Provenance declaration
I declare that the present panel comes from the private collection of the Celotto family of Montebelluna, in whose possession it has remained since the time of its creation. The work subsequently became part of my private collection and is offered for sale with this provenance declaration, issued in good faith.

To protect the panel it will be shipped with a structure that protects and maintains the panel's rigidity and to prevent damage during transport; this unfortunately affects transport costs but guarantees the object's integrity.
