Pair of French lanterns from the late 19th century, made of gilded bronze and crystal.

The design combines:

* rectangular frame with beaded/pearled edges.
* leaf and scrollwork decoration.
* top finial with a torch/flame appearance.
* very ornate arms and volutes.
* four diagonal braces forming an X on the glass.
* textured/irregular glass designed to diffuse light.
