Magnificent and rare low relief by Camille Fauré entitled "Rhododendrons and Bird"
The colors are vivid and resplendent thanks to the enamel-on-copper plate technique.
The photos do not fully reflect the colors and the bright pigmentation of the enamel (a note for connoisseurs).
Artwork signed on the enamel and on the back of the original frame, with the artist's wax seal.
In perfect condition, sold with the very beautiful period frame.
Camille Fauré (1874-1956) is a French artist of note. He is best known for his enamel design work for companies manufacturing Limoges porcelain. Floral and figurative motifs in richly enamel-colored tones are his signature.
The 1925 International Exposition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts marks the breakthrough of C. Fauré.
