Large wall-mounted printer’s cabinet by JUD – double typographic cases – wood – 130 cm

Description
A large antique wall unit comprised of two printer’s type cases assembled vertically, forming a striking decorative piece standing 130 cm tall.

Made of wood, it features a very large number of compartments of varying sizes, which were once used to store metal type.

An old metal handle bearing the JUD mark is still present.

The wood has a beautiful brown patina, with color variations and signs of use that bear witness to its history and give it real character. The piece has been preserved in an authentic spirit, without trying to erase the marks of time.

Today, this grand composition can be used as wall decor, a collectible piece of furniture, or a display for small objects, curiosities, miniatures, and cabinet-of-curiosities items.

Description
Grand ensemble mural ancien composé de deux casiers typographiques d’imprimeur assemblés verticalement, formant une pièce décorative spectaculaire de 130 cm de hauteur.

Réalisé en bois, il présente de très nombreux compartiments de dimensions variées, autrefois destinés au rangement des caractères d’imprimerie. 

Une poignée métallique ancienne portant le marquage JUD est toujours présente.

Le bois possède une belle patine brune, avec des variations de teinte et des traces d’usage qui témoignent de son histoire et lui donnent tout son caractère. 
L'ensemble a été conservé dans un esprit authentique, sans chercher à effacer les marques du temps.
Aujourd'hui, cette grande composition peut être utilisée comme décoration murale, meuble de collection ou présentoir pour petits objets, curiosités, miniatures et objets de cabinet.
