For sale is an exceptionally early and authentic LC4 Chaise Longue by Cassina – the world-famous design classic by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand.

What is special about this specimen is the exceptionally low serial number 1684. The chaise dates from the 1970s and thus belongs to the early Cassina editions of this iconic furniture design.

On the chrome-plated steel frame are the impressed signature “Le Corbusier”, the model designation “LC/4” and the serial number “1684”.

The chaise is in absolute original condition. It has not been reupholstered, nor modernized or altered with non-original components. Precisely the preserved historical substance, the authentic patina and the very low serial number make this specimen particularly interesting for collectors, connoisseurs and enthusiasts of significant design classics.
