Bronze Bouillotte lamp, model Dos Luces, made in France, dating to 1940–1950, in good used condition with minor signs of age, in working order, dimensions 64 cm high, 40 cm wide, 28 cm deep.
Description from the seller
It is a lamp that brings together three aesthetic worlds that lived together naturally in the mid-20th century: the theatrical glow of Hollywood Regency, the noble solidity of bronze, and the elegant geometry of Art Deco. The result is a piece with presence, warm, sophisticated, and with that air of a well-constructed object that defines period lighting.
The bronze body, polished and luminous, provides visual weight and a nearly sculptural character. The lines are clean, vertical, with a balance that recalls domestic Art Deco architecture, where ornamentation was restrained to let the materials speak. From that central axis rise two curved, stylized arms that hold the lights in a soft, elegant gesture, very characteristic of Hollywood Regency glamour.
The original shade, cylindrical in shape and cream-toned, completes the composition with a warm, enveloping light. Its presence is fundamental: it softens the metal’s brightness, adds verticality, and reinforces the lamp’s decorative character without diminishing its sobriety.
Taken together, it is a piece that combines glamour, historical modernity, and craftsmanship, perfect for a living room, an office, or a corner where the golden bronze and the diffused light bring a touch of classical elegance.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
