Children's chair (2) - Beech - Louis XVI-style armchairs

Louis XVI-style small armchairs, and the same chairs can be seen in the Marie Antoinette (2006) film, written and directed by Sofia Coppola.

The armchairs, as shown in the photo, have the original fabric worn by time and use. Otherwise, the chairs are in good condition with a few old wormholes.

This chair is an example of Louis XVI-style furniture, characterized by a medallion back and fluted, tapered legs. These elements are typical of French Neoclassicism, which favored straighter and more symmetrical lines compared to earlier styles.

Distinctive features: the style is recognizable by the oval or "medallion" back, the armrests with curved supports, and the straight legs with fluting that echo ancient columns.

Children’s versions: There are antique pieces made specifically for children, often in lacquered or painted wood, which faithfully reproduce the proportions of seats for adults.
