Two pieces of 100% real blue amber from Indonesia, natural and polished, measuring about 7 cm by 6 cm and weighing a total of 180 g, with UV-tested authenticity.
Description from the seller
Two pieces of 100% real amber. All pieces are personally tested by me for authenticity with a UV lamp. I give a personal guarantee here. See the last photo as an example of the UV lamp test. Real amber turns blue under UV illumination.
Blue amber (or blue amber) is the least common and most rare variant of amber worldwide, which under UV light (such as sunlight) transforms from golden brown to an intensely fluorescing blue color.
Natural phenomenon: Under artificial light or against a light background the stone looks yellow, honey-colored, or deep dark red. However, as soon as UV radiation hits it, the molecules (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons such as perylene) light up and a spectacular blue glow appears.
Origin: This type of fossil resin is millions of years old and is mainly derived from the extinct prehistoric tree species Hymenaea protera. Blue amber originates from the Miocene and Oligocene, geological periods dating from 15 to 40 million years ago.
