Description from the seller
Polaris Wall Clock "31 Day" – Regulator Style – Second Half of the 20th Century
Description
Elegant pendulum clock produced by the historic Polaris manufactory, known for the robustness and reliability of its long-wind mechanisms. This "31 Day" model draws inspiration from classic European regulators, combining vintage aesthetics with a functional and practical mechanism.
Brand: Polaris (Logo with a five-pointed star).
Mechanism: Manual-wind mechanical movement with an exceptional 31-day autonomy (winds only once a month).
Chiming: Chime on a metal gong. Strikes a single chime at the half hour and the hour number at each full hour.
Dial: Brushed silvered metal with clearly legible black Arabic numerals, angular floral decorations, and refined pierced hands in a classic style.
Pendulum: "Lyre"-style pendulum in polished brass, coordinated with the circular dial.
Case: Wood [insert the veneer if known, e.g., Walnut or Oak] with a front glass door that allows viewing of the pendulum’s oscillation.
The clock presents itself in excellent aesthetic condition. The dial is clean and free of obvious oxidation. The wooden case retains its original luster with minimal signs of use consistent with its age.
Functioning: The clock runs but should be serviced by expert hands.
Accessories: Includes the original winding key and original instructions.
Shipping: The pendulum will be detached to prevent damage during transport; however, I would strongly recommend local pickup. Shipping with vibrations could cause issues to the mechanism.
