Lovely vintage travel case (70s/80s).
A portable writing desk-style box with a slanted lid, executed in the style of antique 19th-century campaign desks. Wooden structure with a dark-toned, varnished finish that imitates noble period woods.
Corner brackets and corner reinforcements in gold brass sheet applied to the surface with decorative nails. Simple front latch in yellow metal.
Slanted-top lid opens on ordinary hinges, revealing the classic interior for storing writing materials.
Shows wear from use and age, with normal varnish marks and light patina on the brass hardware. No structural damage.
