Very elegant French carving set dating from the late 19th century.

The set consists of a large carving knife and a three-tined serving fork, both with handsome silver-plated handles richly worked.

The handles feature a refined decoration in the Louis XVI style, comprising fluted motifs, garlands and laurel branches, foliage and medallions left unengraved with monograms.

The knife blade marked "France" is steel.

The set is kept in its beautiful old original case, green in color with a leather-like decorative finish, brass clasp, and interior lined with light-colored fabric.
