Within the New Originals project, Hutten took a classic Chinese teapot and gave it a bold, modern twist. The original was cast iron, but Hutten swapped it for sleek porcelain, making it lighter and fresher. Instead of the usual delicate curve of the handle, Richard Hutten borrowed the grip from a good old-fashioned clothes iron. Bright red and easy to hold, it’s designed to keep your hands safe as you pour hot tea into your mug.
