Polaroid The 800 Analogue camera

Up for auction: a monumental, solid and historic vintage instant camera: the Polaroid Land Camera Model 800, produced in the United States by Polaroid Corporation between 1957 and 1960.

The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and storage consistent with the object's age and history.

Optics: The device mounts the original fixed three-element Polaroid 130mm f/8.8 lens, paired with a graticule finder and a side-by-side optical coincidence telemeter system visible from the side. The lenses appear visually in good condition, consistent with the description of a well-preserved specimen. The gold identification lettering "POLAROID Land Camera" and the engraved inscription "The 800" on the ribbed front plate are intact and perfectly legible.

Mechanical: The operation has not been tested due to the absence of era-specific film cartridges and rollers. From a strictly mechanical point of view, the front cover releases correctly and the sliding telescopic system allows manual extension of the bellows up to the end-stop without impediments. The levers and mechanical selectors positioned on the optical group are manually operable.

Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The metal frame and external protective shells retain their original gray/beige coloration with minimal signs of handling, light localized superficial scratches, and the normal patina of time. The folding bellows in light gray material appear geometrically compact and structurally intact.
