A high-definition external electronic viewfinder with about 100% field of view and a resolution of about 2.36 million dots (XGA). It further enhances the ease of use of the EOS M3, which inherits features from the EOS DSLR. The viewfinder is equipped with an approximately 90° tilting mechanism. It is possible to choose between “Automatic” mode, in which the display automatically toggles when you look through the viewfinder, and “Manual” mode, in which the display toggles by pressing a button. The viewfinder provides good visibility even when shooting outdoors, and settings can be checked while looking through the viewfinder, allowing the user to focus on shooting.
