Authentic Indian solid-wood storage chest, richly adorned with hand-carved decorations.

The lid, the front, and the sides are executed with stylised floral rosettes and geometric ornamental bands, typical of traditional Indian woodcarving.

The chest rests on four short, turned legs and has a hinged lid with a wrought-iron handle. On the front there is an iron latch. The interior is spacious and simply finished, making the chest suitable for storing textiles, blankets, books or other personal items. Also very decorative as a coffee table, low side table, or blanket chest.

The dark, warm wood and the visible signs of age give the chest a pronounced well-worn character. A distinctive and functional piece of furniture that fits beautifully in a colonial, bohemian, wabi-sabi, or eclectic interior.

The chest is in authentic antique condition, with clear signs of use, age, and restorations.
