AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
A remarkable 35-piece antique/vintage Donald Duck tin children's dinnerware set from 1939, manufactured by The Ohio Art Company (Ohio Art Co.) in the United States.
The set originally comes from a toy collector's collection and I purchased it at the time via an American auction/sale. A beautiful piece of early Disney history and now about 87 years old.
The various pieces are done in the characteristic red and turquoise colors and feature beautiful classic Donald Duck illustrations. On several pieces there are markings such as “Ohio Art Co. – Made in U.S.A.” and Walt Disney markings.
The collection consists of 35 pieces, including several trays, large and small plates/saucers, cups and components of the tea/service set.
Condition: given the age, the set shows clear signs of use and aging. There is, among other things, oxidation/rust, scratches, finish and color loss, and in some places dents, bent or flattened edges. Please view all photos carefully; they provide a good view of the condition of the individual pieces.
A special collectible for fans of Donald Duck, Disneyana, Ohio Art, antique toys and vintage tin toys.
