old cooler / insulated cabinet from the “Glacières de Paris,” probably intended to keep foods with ice, i.e., without an electric refrigeration unit. The interior is lined with galvanized sheet metal and the large insulated chest clearly point in that direction.

The logo and especially the hardware can help date it more precisely. Roughly, I would place it in the first half of the 20th century, probably the 1930s–1950s. This is consistent with other coolers of similar construction (wood, zinc, heavy fittings and mechanical closure) dated to that period.

So it is not an electric refrigerator: ice was placed inside to keep the foods cold.
