Set of 5 soup cups with matching saucers – collectible porcelain
Manufacturer: Meissen (marked with the famous blue crossed swords, the characteristic hallmark of the German porcelain manufactory).
Era: 19th century / early 20th century.
Material: Fine Meissen porcelain, enhanced with hand-painted gold double stripes at the rim.
Condition: Generally very good condition for its age, with preserved gloss and original elegance.
Notes on condition and flaws:
One cup shows a fine crack at the handle (not glued or completely broken) as well as surface glaze cracks at the bottom of the same cup.
Two of the cups have very small nicks (chips) on the foot-rim, as visible in the photos.
An exceptional, elegant set, ideal for collectors or to add a special touch to any festive table.
