Cassapanca - Chestnut

A chest-settle built in the 1980s using reclaimed wood sourced from an older structure derived from old floorboards. The piece has been reclaimed and handcrafted, intentionally preserving the irregularities and the materiality of the original timber. The finish was applied with natural pigments and traditional glues, creating a delicately lived patina characterized by shading, abrasions, and color variations. A piece with a strong artisanal character, not industrially produced, that blends the history of ancient material with a refined decorative reinterpretation. The imperfections and visible marks are part of the craftsmanship and the history of the furniture, and they constitute a distinctive feature.
