This is the G.Zuiko Auto-W 25mm F2.8 wide-angle lens for Olympus’s half-frame SLR cameras—the PEN F, FT, and FV.
Introduced in 1966 for the PEN F system, this 25mm wide-angle lens features a 5-group, 7-element optical design, a 62° angle of view, and a minimum focusing distance of 25 cm.
On the PEN F series’ half-frame format, it functions as a versatile wide-angle lens equivalent to approximately a 35mm lens in 35mm format. It is well-suited for snapshots, street photography, landscapes, architecture, and travel photography.
Since it can focus as close as 25 cm, you can also enjoy close-up photography that takes advantage of the perspective unique to wide-angle lenses. Furthermore, PEN F-mount Zuiko lenses are highly rare today, making this a very popular choice among collectors.
