Description:
An exquisite turn-of-the-century French antique ceramic jardinière (planter) mounted in an ornate, heavy gilt bronze (or champlevé style alloy) footed frame. The oval-shaped faience body features a beautiful ivory-cream glaze, elegantly decorated with hand-touched poly-chrome morning glory (*liseron*) blossoms and delicate foliage in soft shades of purple and sage green.

The ceramic insert is beautifully embraced by a decorative openwork gallery rim, leading to twin scrolled handles, and rests elegantly on four elaborate rococo-style foliate feet. The underside displays authentic incised potter’s letters and numbers ("D", "5", "P"), characteristic of the renowned Lunéville manufacture during the Keller & Guérin era.
