Description from the seller
A-2300SX – Stereo Reel-to-Reel Recorder (Vintage)
The TEAC A-2300SX is a reference stereo reel-to-reel recorder from 1970s Japanese production, designed with criteria of high mechanical stability and high-fidelity analog playback. Valued by audiophiles and collectors, it represents one of the most successful examples of TEAC’s constructive philosophy in the consumer/semipro segment of that era.
The model uses a three-motor transport system, with precise tape tension control and separation of recording, playback and erasing functions through dedicated heads. The mechanical construction is solid, with a rigid chassis and an internal layout designed to reduce vibrations and playback instability.
Condition of the unit
This specific unit presents itself in excellent aesthetic condition, kept for a long time exclusively on static display (showcase) and used in an extremely limited manner.
Very well-preserved aesthetics, with no obvious signs of wear
Front, knobs and VU meters in generally excellent condition
No apparent modification or tampering
Mechanics in order and functioning normally during tests
Functionality
The unit has been tested and is functioning in its main operating functions:
Play
Fast Forward
Rewind
Recording
Important note
The device is provided without a power cable, as it has been preserved exclusively as a display piece. For this reason the cable is not included in the original kit.
