Antique Brass Candlestick – Polygonal Base – 18th/19th Century
Impressive antique solid brass candlestick with a characteristic polygonal stepped base, faceted central stem and broad circular drip tray. The candlestick retains a beautiful naturally aged brass patina with traces of oxidation and verdigris, giving it an authentic historic appearance.
The candle holder has an octagonal removable upper element. An old handwritten inventory or collection number is visible underneath the base.
Shows scratches, oxidation and general wear consistent with considerable age; please see photographs for the condition. Dimension :H21x9.5x 4.5 cm
The left one looks like a 19th-century brass adjustable/ejector candlestick, while the right is a more decorative faceted brass candlestick, probably somewhat earlier in style
