A highly decorative German Meissen parcel-gilt and hand-painted porcelain cabinet plate. Sculpted in the magnificent Rococo Revival "X-Form" pattern, the plate features a central white reserve finely painted with a vibrant, multi-colored summer flower arrangement. This central reserve is framed by a sweeping network of heavy, relief-molded, and asymmetrical rocaille scrollwork finished in bright and burnished gilding. The scrolls branch outward across a deep cobalt blue ground, framing six smaller peripheral white cartouches, each delicately hand-painted with individual sprigs of forget-me-nots, roses, and pansies.
