Invader is an anonymous French street artist known for his ceramic tile mosaics inspired by 1970s–1980s 8-bit video games, particularly Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and Super Mario Bros. His pseudonym is derived from these game characters. As of December 2020, his mosaic installations, or "Invasions," are visible in 79 cities across 20 countries. In addition to his ceramic tile work, Invader creates mosaics using QR codes and stacks of Rubik's Cubes, with the latter installations usually found indoors.
