Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Three antique linen pieces from Italy, including a large white sheet (265×270 cm) with intricate hand embroidery and matching 120×75 cm pillowcases, overall in good condition with age marks and stains.
Description from the seller
Important antique linen sheet, fully hand-embroidered and accompanied by two large coordinating pillowcases.
The centerpiece is the extraordinary white-on-white embroidery, developed through a Chinoiserie-inspired composition with many orientalist motifs: architectures reminiscent of a pagoda, birds, flowers, branches, and numerous ornamental elements.
At the center there is a large intertwined monogram, which seems to bring together the initials A and E. Although it presents a decorative repertoire with Oriental taste, the monogram in Western characters suggests that the sheet was destined for a European family or commission.
Also particularly notable is the large drawn-thread work along the edge, echoed in the pillowcases; due to its size and richness of the workmanship, these can be valued separately.
This is an authentic antique textile that has already had its own life, offered as an antique or collectible piece.
It is overall kept in good condition considering its age, but shows some stains documented in the photos.
