Extraordinary and very heavy bronze figure of Panchamukhi Hanuman from India.
Panchamukhi Hanuman is a special five-faced manifestation of the Hindu god Hanuman. The intricately designed statue shows Hanuman in a kneeling pose with five heads and numerous arms.
The various heads are arranged around the central Hanuman head and display different human and animal forms. Especially beautiful are the individually crafted faces with their tall crowns and the fan-shaped arrangement in the background.
The numerous arms hold various ritual attributes and weapons, including a large blade and additional symbolic objects. One hand is depicted with an uplifted palm in a blessing or protective gesture.
