Limoges A Vignaud - Table service for 12 (13) - Porcelain

Extremely elegant Limoges porcelain fish service, signed A. Vignaud – Limoges – France, composed of 13 pieces.

The set is distinguished by a very beautiful polychrome decoration depicting different species of fish accompanied by aquatic vegetation. Each plate features a different composition, with numerous painted details, enhanced by a rich gilt border with floral motifs and a gilt filet along the rim.

The service includes:

* 12 fish plates, diameter: 24 cm
* 1 large oval serving platter, dimensions: 42 × 27 cm

The pieces are white Limoges porcelain, with a particularly refined and homogeneous decoration. The fish motif, natural colors and the numerous gilded highlights give the whole an elegant and decorative character.

The A. Vignaud manufacture is identifiable thanks to its marking on the back of the pieces.

Era: 20th century, around the 1970s.

Condition: good overall considering its age, with some light signs of use and wear to the gilding visible in the photographs. No restoration observed.

A particularly interesting set for a reception table, a Limoges porcelain collection, or a country house decoration.
