We present a spectacular antique Turkish rug from Kars Kazak, dated between 1940 and 1950, entirely handmade in pure wool.

It stands out for its magnificent geometric design inspired by the Caucasus, with large traditional motifs and an attractive combination of red, blue, ivory, green, and pinkish tones.

This is a rug woven with a fine, relatively flat weave, short and compact pile. It is not a thick or very shaggy rug; due to its fineness and flexibility it has a feel similar to a Kilim. This detail can be clearly seen in the photographs.
