AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Genuine Polish Baltic Amber with Rare Syninclusion: Large Fossil Ant (Visible to Naked Eye) & Second Co-Inclusion – 4.5g
This specimen stands out due to a fascinating paleontological syninclusion (multiple insects trapped in a single moment):
1. Large Fossil Ant (Family: Formicidae): A spectacular primary inclusion showing exceptional anatomical preservation. Thanks to its size and optimal placement, this ant is clearly visible to the naked eye without the need for a magnifying glass or microscope.
2. Second Insect Co-Inclusion: A smaller prehistoric organism (likely a miniature dipteran/himenopteran) frozen in the exact same resin matrix, adding significant scientific and collector appeal.
The amber matrix also contains tiny organic oak trichomes (tree fluff) and microscopic air bubbles, confirming its natural formation process inside ancient pine forests.
Technical Specifications & Authenticity:
* Origin: Poland (Baltic Sea Coast)
* Weight: 4.5 grams
* Dimensions: 40 mm x 25 mm
* Authenticity Testing: Fully verified. The piece reacts with a strong, definitive yellowish-green and milky-blue fluorescence under ultraviolet (UV) blacklight.
The specimen was legally acquired from a reputable private mineral and fossil collector in Poland.
* It originates from the Eocene Baltic amber deposits near the Baltic Sea coast (Gdańsk region), Poland.
* The item is part of a private collection and is legally held by the current seller.
* The seller guarantees that this object was acquired legitimately and holds the absolute legal right to sell and ship this lot internationally. No export permits are required for this type of fossil within the European Union.
Shipping safely from Romania only to EU plus UK and Switzerland with DPD or FedEx.
