With What If? - XT 500 Gulf, SKE inaugurates a series devoted to meetings that never officially existed, yet whose universes seemed destined to cross paths.

This work imagines a fictional collaboration between three instantly recognizable icons: the Yamaha XT 500, the legendary Gulf colors, and the spirit of adventure of Tintin.

Appearing in the 1970s, the Yamaha XT 500 has become an emblematic trail motorcycle of adventure and the open road. Its simple, robust silhouette, instantly identifiable, still embodies today an entire generation of motorcycles designed to leave the asphalt and venture into the unknown.

Opposite it, the Gulf universe evokes motorsport, endurance, and one of the most famous graphic identities in the history of motorsport. Its light blue and orange are reinterpreted here as if they had once dressed a XT 500.

At the center of the composition, Tintin and Snowy bring another dimension to the story. Tintin embodies travel, curiosity, and adventure across generations. SKE imagines here that our heroes could also have their mechanical passions, their favorite motorcycles, and their attachment to brands that have become cult.

The question posed by the series is simple:

What if? And if this encounter had actually taken place?

Between comic book, vintage motorcycle, Yamaha XT 500, trail, Gulf, Tintin, and mechanical culture, the work intentionally plays with memories and references cherished by collectors. An image designed as a poster from a parallel story where the great icons of our childhood and of motorsport could have shared the same road.

The graphic aesthetic blends illustration, retro advertising codes, and contemporary composition, in SKE’s characteristic visual universe.

- FRAMING TIPS

Your work is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.

Upon receipt, remove it gently and place it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing.

ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or decor stores.

Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable, they perfectly showcase artworks.

SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile approach who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic works.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s market value has seen a notable rise. Winner of the Urban Master contest first prize (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and also featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
