Description from the seller

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Exclusive "Edition 10" version of the Mercedes-Benz SLK 280 Cabriolet from 2007
• Powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine linked to the 7G-Tronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters
• Richly equipped with, among others, Harman Kardon audio, Airscarf, seat heating and fully automatic hardtop cabrio roof
• excellently maintained with demonstrable service history and preventive replacement of transmission oil at 160,000 km

HISTORY & OVERVIEW:

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class (R171) is known for its innovative Vario roof, which lets the car quickly transform from a closed coupé to an open roadster. To mark the 10th anniversary of the SLK range, Mercedes-Benz released the limited "Edition 10," recognizable by particular styling details and a rich standard equipment list. This particular example is an SLK 280 Edition 10 from 2007, powered by the 3.0-liter V6 engine paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The car has currently 185,000 km on the clock, is in excellent maintained condition with no known damages, and features a well-documented maintenance history.

EXTERIOR:

The bodywork and paint are in very good condition with no car wash scratches and show only very light stone chips. The paint is regularly waxed and the car shows virtually no rust formation. The door and roof seals are fully intact. The vehicle sits on original Mercedes-Benz alloy wheels in a metallic black shade. The fully automatic steel hardtop cabrio roof opens and closes flawlessly. Other exterior features include xenon lighting, parking sensors, and an original sport exhaust.

INTERIOR:

The interior is in very neat condition with very light signs of use. The leather upholstery shows no wear and is in excellent condition. The carpet and headlining are also in very neat condition. Around the control buttons on the dashboard are light signs of use. Comfort and audio options include Harman Kardon audio, navigation, Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth, Airscarf (neck warmer), seat heating, automatic climate control, and cruise control.

MOTOR & TECHNICAL:

The 3.0-liter V6 engine is in perfect condition, free of leaks or faults, and has been maintained only with high-quality fluids and filters. The 7-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly; although the factory claim is for lifetime oil, the transmission oil was replaced prophylactically at 160,000 km. The steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters for manual gear changes. The chassis is fitted with premium-brand tires, and the front brake discs and pads have recently been renewed.

DOCUMENTS:

The vehicle is supplied with the original manual and the accompanying service booklet with the documented maintenance history.

The vehicle can be viewed and collected. Bids do not include transport and export, unless otherwise stated. Arranging transport, ownership transfer, and any export documents/COC costs is the responsibility of the buyer.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
