New monumental Statuario white marble console designed by Josep Vila Capdevila. Like a monumental iceberg, the Arctic Console —made of Spanish white marble— seems to float in space. A unique piece carved from solid marble sourced from southern Spain, a warm land that, paradoxically, yields this stone with an icy-looking appearance. The stone —frosty and crystalline— lets light pass through. Its form, with irregular, fractured legs, evokes a play of light and shadow, an Arctic sunset. Small details in solid brass complete the piece. A collectible design object. Created by Josep Vila Capdevila, founder and creative director of Aparentment, he is a multidisciplinary designer connected to fashion, advertising, photojournalism and even music. In 2012 he launched his first object collection, Marblelous, which had national and international impact. Since then he has pursued a design path based on experimentation and innovation, working with noble, robust, and durable materials.
