A distinctive and refined pair of two-light wall sconces, fully formed, in bronze finely chiseled and gilded toward the end of the 19th century in Italy.
The central structure is richly decorated with neoclassical motifs typical of the period: elegant garlands of laurel leaves, bows and interlaced ribbons that culminate in a refined drapery-like finish at the bottom. The two sinuous arms support the lamp holders inserted inside bobeches decorated with acanthus leaves.
Excellent overall aesthetic condition. The original gold patina shows beautiful signs of time that enhance its authenticity. Present (electrical wires visible on the back). The electrical system is period; a review before mounting is recommended to verify compliance and functionality.
