Description from the seller
Rare Art Deco faceted vase, Czechoslovakia (Czech Republic), Ditmar Urbach, c. 1920–1930 (Between the wars), glazed ceramic/earthenware. Base with an incised mold number '1588' and stamped under the glaze 'Czechoslovakia / Hand-painted.'
Airbrush technique and abstract splatters with a vibrant palette (orange, purple and yellow), part of the famous line informally marketed by collectors as 'Alienware' or 'Flame/Skyscraper design'. Base dotted with a blue polychrome relief ring.
It is structurally in good condition, there is a hairline inside the vase, shown in the photos.
Seller's Story
Antiques are my enormous passion; all the items I have up for auction were found at antique fairs and from antique dealers mainly in the Lisbon area, but also from the rest of Portugal. Only pieces of good quality, distinctly original and obviously beautiful. Quality guarantee and very careful shipping of the pieces.
ATTENTION: If you are interested in one of my pieces that has a reserve price, please note that I will absolutely not offer it for less than 80% of the reserve value of the piece. And I should also note that if that piece is not sold here on Catawiki, I will sell it at another auction house, so if you’re really interested in any of my pieces, buy it when you see it the first time.
Thank you very much
