Description from the seller
Green Crushed Glass Side Table – Unique, Handcrafted Collectible made with wine bottles.
This striking green side table is a one-of-a-kind collectible, handcrafted using crushed recycled wine bottle glass and high-quality resin. Each table is individually made, highlighting the irregular texture, tonal variation, and translucent beauty of the crushed glass surface.
Both sustainable and sculptural, the piece merges eco-conscious materials with contemporary design, making it ideal as a functional accent in modern, eclectic, or art-driven interiors.
The table’s compact form works beautifully as a side table, pedestal, or sculptural stand, adding a pop of color and material storytelling to any room. As a handmade and unique design object, no two pieces are exactly alike—perfect for collectors and design lovers seeking originality with environmental impact.
Produced and developed for the Mayrit architecture and design Biennial hold in Madrid 2022, the collection Ressaca is an immersive work that takes the viewer into a dystopian world where humanity’s only remaining natural resources are its waste and dross. Broken and sharp glass is the main construction element of what we intuit to be an eccentric room that sparkles with danger. Vila pushes to the limit a set of semi-utilitarian furniture that threatens and provokes, invites, and prohibits in equal parts, an exercise in speculative design that reflects on the future of society.
