Jaeger-LeCoultre. 8-day desk clock with calendar, circa 1960

Elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre desk clock, Switzerland, made of golden metal with a brushed finish, in a square design with a circular champagne-colored dial. A model with the characteristic aesthetic of the Geneva manufacture during the central decades of the 20th century, corresponding to Ref. 516.

Dial signed “Jaeger-LeCoultre” and “Swiss Made”, with large black Roman numerals and refined black open-work hands in a classic-inspired style. At 3 o'clock there is a calendar aperture, while at 6 stands the characteristic “8” symbol, indicating its 8-day mechanical movement with reserve.

The back allows viewing the winding and setting mechanism, housed in a circular case integrated into the clock’s structure. It retains an attractive patina typical of its age, with light surface signs of wear and small gold wear that do not detract from its presence.

Especially notable for retaining its original Jaeger-LeCoultre case, black-lined and marked in gold with the name and emblem of the manufacture. It is also accompanied by original Jaeger-LeCoultre / LeCoultre warranty and international service documentation, a feature increasingly rare in this type of watch and of particular interest to collectors.

Very complete set representative of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s mid-20th-century desk-clock design, especially attractive for the joint preservation of the clock, its presentation case, and the original period documentation.

Condition: good for its age, with patina, light scratches and superficial wear visible on the gold metal and signs of use on the case. Mechanical check is recommended before continued use.
