The 15-cm s.IG.33 (Sf) on Panzerkampfwagen II (often also referred to as Bison II or Sturmgeschütz II) was a German artillery self-propelled gun of World War II.
In desert operations, however, significant mechanical problems became evident: the engines overheated quickly in the hot climate, and the extended chassis was undersized for the enormous stresses when firing the heavy 15-cm howitzer. By the end of 1942 or after the Battle of El Alamein, almost all vehicles had failed due to wear or enemy action.
