Christofle - Tray - Silverplated - Christofle tray

Oval Christofle tray from the Napoléon III era. It is hand-engraved with foliate scrolls, flowers and fruit motifs on a dotted background. The central cartouche is unmonogrammed and the edge is profiled.

The tray is fully marked: master mark CC with scales, silver hallmark "55" (55 grams of silver), signature CHRISTOFLE and production number 260387. That number falls in the series that began in 1862, dating the tray to about 1865–1870.
