Historicism Pomp Decorative Urn on Marble Pedestal
Decorative ornamental urn in the neoclassical style of Historicism. The egg-shaped body of the urn is adorned with floral reliefs (acanthus leaves) and is flanked by ram heads or faun heads (see photos). The urn is carried by curved supports that rest on a round base. The whole stands on a profiled pedestal of reddish-beige veined marble, which is finished with four richly ornate feet. The urn lid is crowned by a pinecone-shaped knob.
