Set of 4 Raynaud & Co. Limoges "Blue Onion" / Zwiebelmuster Plates (22 cm)
A beautiful set of 4 vintage porcelain plates manufactured by the prestigious maison A. Raynaud & Cie in Limoges, France.
The plates feature the iconic and timeless "Blue Onion" (Zwiebelmuster) floral decor in a vibrant blue underglaze paint, elegantly set against a crisp white background. The rim is finished with a sophisticated basketweave texture (osier / woven relief).
With a diameter of 22.5 cm, this size traditionally served as the classic French dinner plate (assiette plate). Today, it offers great versatility and is perfect for modern multi-functional use as a smaller dinner plate, lunch plate, breakfast plate, or generous dessert plate.
Material: High-quality French hard-paste Limoges porcelain.
Condition: The set is divided in condition as follows:
2 plates are in absolute top vintage condition: colors are beautifully bright, with a glossy glaze, no scratches, no chips, and no hairline cracks.
2 plates feature a hairline that is slightly visible from the front (please review the close-up photos).
