Pair of antique gold Hellenistic earrings, dated between 200 BC and 100 AD.
This elegant pair features a characteristic lunar shape of Hellenistic jewelry. Made of hollow gold, the earrings are decorated with applied wire filigree in undulating motifs and small granulations forming trefoil patterns.
The gold shows a superb warm, ancient patina, with beautiful golden, rosy, and browned nuances, bearing witness to its age and long period of conservation.
Dimensions: 17 x 16.3 mm. Total weight: 2.8 g.
Condition: Good overall condition given the age. Wear and patina consistent with age. The attachment fittings are preserved. One earring retains a small original suspended element.
