You are bidding on a rare and very nice sword attributed to the Kota and Fang tribes, originally from Gabon. The wooden handle is very patinated on the top. The pommel is clad in studded brass. The center of the handle is conical, and it is covered with bands of iron. The ferrule is wrapped with brass wire, original. The iron blade is leaf-shaped and rotates at its tip, with a central axis running through the blade decorated with a line parallel to the cutting edge on the right side of the blade.
